Uptown Radio / WJYN 98.5 FM is a radio station under the ownership of / licensed to the Uptown Entertainment and Development Corporation (UEDC), a non-profit organization based in Philadelphia, Pa. and owners of the historic Uptown Theater. Our goal is to develop, produce and sustain quality programming and content with an emphasis on Philadelphia residents and extending worldwide via other online channels and platforms. Programming is geared towards  educating and inspiring social change as well as strongly promoting the arts and culture. Unlike other outdated FM stations, our organization programs are also designed to offer special opportunities for producing and hosting shows by artists, activists, scholars, youth, and other social groups -cultivating unique broadcast programing that share stories of life in Philadelphia, independent musicians, artist, surrounding communities and those throughout the world.
